Australian builder's plate (ABP) is required on the majority of recreational boats today and shows important safety information at a glance.

The plate provides details regarding the number of passengers, load limitations, engine capacity and buoyancy statement. 

​

The ABP should be readily visible on the boat, preferably near the cockpit or steering position and is required in addition to the hull identification number (HIN). 

​
